"Be still, and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10
Retreats and Retreat Centers offer us a place to slow down and open ourselves up to the invitations of God, whether that is to see the beauty and goodness of God in nature, to hear the loving voice of God in the silence, or to feel the compassion of God in the shared support of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
To read a little more about what a retreat is, who should go, and why, here's an article by Bishop Robert Reed on The Spiritual Benefits of Retreats.

The Cursillo is a “little course in Christianity” that begins on a Thursday evening and concludes Sunday afternoon. Each Cursillo is an encounter with Christ in a small community of the Church, in order that Christ’s love and grace can be brought to every aspect of life.
The Boston Cursillo Weekends are held at Notre Dame Spirituality Center, 30 Jeffreys Neck Rd., Ipswich, Massachusetts. To schedule a Cursillo Parish information session in your parish please email: [email protected].

Cursillo offers us the opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev 3:20, NKJV). A life lived in faith is a life lived in joy!
A Cursillo retreat is a three-day weekend of intensive spiritual reflection and exploration that offers the opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ. During the weekend, you will hear talks given by a team of lay people and spiritual directors, and you will have the opportunity to participate in small table discussions, prayer, Divine Liturgy, and great meals. Cursillo is an invitation for you to experience the love of Jesus Christ on a personal level and to bring this love and joy into your daily life.

Eastern Point Retreat House is an ecumenical ministry of the Society of Jesus under the patronage of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, who is a 16th century Jesuit saint from Italy. In celebration of the 450th anniversary of his birth, Pope Francis designated 2019 as a Jubilee Year of St. Aloysius.
Rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and in the Catholic tradition, our ministry is open to all who seek God in their lives. Through a variety of retreats and spiritual direction, we accompany people from many walks of life, that they may be more attentive to God’s activity and more responsive to the call to work toward the greater glory of God. Our ministry follows the spiritual path laid out by Ignatius as a way of discerning God’s presence in our everyday lives.
Our Retreat House is situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean about an hour’s drive northeast of Boston. Noted for the spectacular beauty of its rocks, ocean, and woods, Eastern Point provides an ideal atmosphere for contemplation, prayer, and engagement with God. Our resident retreat wing accommodates 38 retreatants in single ensuite rooms, many of which have ocean-view balconies
