The interior of Our Lady of the Assumption Church needed a lightning and brightening. The multiple shades of wood in the paneling, the pews, the arches, and the altar were not only fighting each other, but making the interior heavy and dark. So a two-phase renovation was undertaken, thanks to the generosity of our parishioners who donated in the "Inspiring Hope" fund. This first phase involved the faux marbling of the paneling in the sanctuary, the installation of wood floors to replace the sanctuary's blue carpeting, the relocation of the tabernacle to behind the altar, the painting of the entire sanctuary, the replacement of the accordion chapel divider, and the removal of two front pews to make room for the choir and keyboardist.
