Fourth Sunday of Easter
How sweet it is to hear the words of Christ today “I am the good shepherd, my sheep hear my voice: I know them, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand.” With all the uncertainty and insecurity we may experience in our lives, Christ is like our security guard, always present, often in ways that are hidden to the human eye, but totally dedicated to protecting us from spiritual threats. By our baptism we are also called to be good shepherds for others. We are called to be good parents and good friends, good Samaritans who look after those entrusted to our care, good people who make sacrifices for the well-being of others, good disciples who are willing to lay down our lives so that others may have a full life.
May the Eucharist always help us to hear and follow the voice of the Good Shepherd, and to be good shepherds for others!
