June 25th, 2023 - Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time - Ave Maria Parish

To be afraid is human. The grace of Christ, on the other hand, frees us from the chains of fear. It gives us a confident trust in the providence of Christ. It allows us to take the risk of yielding control of our lives to the Lord. It empowers us to break through barriers, navigate our way around obstacles, and step into the future that God has in store for us. Christ freed the apostles from their fears. They boldly proclaimed Christ in word and deed, and founded churches throughout the Roman Empire in first century. Christ is always at work in his Holy Spirit to free us from our fears so that we can be effective ambassadors of the gospel of love and active members of his Church. So, in the words of our Savior, “Do not be afraid!”
