To have doubts is part of being human. There is nothing wrong with having reasonable doubts about people, situations, even the unfolding plan of God. But we never want our doubts to harden into cynicism, morph into despair, or slip into unbelief because faith is our lifeline, our lifesaver, especially in times of hardship. And, in turn, it is a day to receive the Lord’s mercy in abundance. On Divine Mercy Sunday, let’s heed the prayerful advice of St. Faustina, who gave us this beautiful, simple prayer: Jesus, I trust in you!
