April 23rd, 2023 - Third Sunday of Easter

My friends, the life of faith begins with recognizing Jesus and his many presences in our Church and world. Pope Francis seems to have a special gift for recognizing Jesus. He regularly spots Jesus in the least of our brothers and sisters – the sick and the suffering, the poor and the oppressed, the innocent unborn and the guilty criminal.  The Holy Father shows us how to recognize Jesus’ face disguised in the faces of others we see, and to recognize Jesus’ voice speaking in the voices of those around us. May this Easter Season bring us new opportunities to grow in our commitment to spiritual face and voice recognition -- that is to recognize Jesus in the Eucharist and in the people and events of our lives!
